Impact of Second Wave of Covid19 Pandemic and Precautions to Prevent Third Wave

 

Since the first outbreak of covid19 pandemic in 2020, then second wave hit in 2021 worldwide, the situation is degrading day by day. People are losing job, therefore, huge loss in economy of every country. First world countries like US, Canada are no exception. The huge fall has been witnessed by tourism professionals. Like all other countries, Canada government has also imposed strict rules on covid19 — it is mandatory to show negative report of covid test results for Niagara visit.

There had been an announcement made by the Canadian Government, that restrictions are to be extended on international travel amid the ongoing challenge of second wave of the covid19 pandemic in the country. The step is being taken to prevent the possibilities of third wave of pandemic.

· The initial restriction which has been imposed on March 16, is to ban most foreign nationals from entering Canada for non-essential travel and the same guideline is applicable for all travelers entering the country until January 2021.And, has made it a mandate of instant covid test for Niagara visit. With further reference, Canada’s Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness Bill Blair stated the travel restrictions specially on US citizens would be extended until December 2021, whereas travelers from other countries have to maintain these restrictions up to January 2021.

Further to this, the government will continue to monitor and evaluate travel restrictions and prohibitions, will also scrutiny the requirement of quarantine or isolation as an ongoing basis, the Government shall arrange Niagara covid test and vaccinations to ensure Canadians remain healthy and safe. Travel between the United States and Canada border, usually sees around 400000 border crossings per day, but due to the impact of pandemic since 2020 and now amidst the second wave, the number of footfall has dropped hugely.

· Travelers have to undergo quarantine for 14 days upon arrival in Canada and have to carry negative report of covid test results for Niagara visit irrespective of students, essential workers, parents, children, spouses, or guardians of Canadian citizens, who will still have to undergo quarantine for 14 days upon arrival.

Tourism cannot be restricted totally as this industry earns good amount of revenue to the Government, but with the safety measures the country has to re-open the travel destinations.

In other countries like Thailand, Malaysia, Russia, etc. are also imposed same kind of guideline as Canada has done like Niagara covid test and vaccinations, for smooth movement of travelers.
